Co-Founder and Senior Partner

Dustin, a prominent, recognized leader and innovator at the forefront of a groundbreaking movement in the Austin lobbying industry, brings with him over a decade of unique and varied legislative experience and political background in Texas Legislature.

As the leader of a new class of lobbying firms, Dustin is especially proficient at building coalitions and mobilizing grassroots efforts to strengthen his clients’ voices. His prowess at government relations ensures he is able to meet his client’s numerous legislative and regulatory goals. Dustin believes strongly in running a lobbying firm for the rest of us.

Originally from Virginia, Dustin graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. He went on to complete his master’s in business administration from the McCoy School of Business at Texas State University.  Cox is a member of the Texas School Public Relations Association and active in many local philanthropic organizations.

Chris is a legislative professional with over 13 years of experience in Texas politics and has completed six legislative sessions.

During his career, he has accumulated experience in some of the most senior levels of government in Texas, including with the former Chairman of the prestigious Sunset Advisory Commission and a two-time House Appropriations subcommittee Chairman. Sanchez has passed legislation that has impacted some of the most important industries in Texas, including energy, cyber security, and health care. The relationships he has cultivated through his legislative successes has made him well known amongst policy makers and Capitol insiders.​ Additionally, he has been involved in grassroots political activities for over a decade and has a strong  background in political messaging and fundraising. 

Originally from Alvin, Texas, Sanchez has resided in Austin since 2002 and is a 2006 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where he received a degree in Government. He has a four year old son named Bradley and is currently writing a book on military tactics related to major tank battles.

Co-Founder and Senior Partner

Andrew provides legal counsel as Owner of Cates Legal Group PLLC to candidates, political action committees, and nonprofits in local, state, and federal election and campaign law. He is the author of Texas Ethics Laws Annotated, the first and only complete legal annotation of campaign finance and lobby laws in Texas, now in the 5th edition. Cates is also a contributing author for the Texas Legislative Law Handbook.

In the years leading up to this practice, Andrew spent three years at the Texas Capitol working for various state representatives and clerking the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence, lobbied for solar energy and healthcare clients, and worked in various areas of the law including mergers & acquisitions, healthcare, criminal prosecution, and criminal defense.

His clients include associations, corporations, and nonprofits in industries with broad interests at the Texas Capitol.


Executive Assistant

With over 7 years of experience in professional office executive assistant positions and a track record of strong performance in high-volume, high-pressure environments, Regina skillfully manages administrative duties and client relations for her colleagues at Salient Strategies, LLC.


As Executive Assistant, she ensures the smooth operation of the business with her knowledge of office management and efficient handling of client inquiries and consultations as required. Her goal is to incorporate the knowledge and customer service that she's acquired to best serve Salient clientele and their business needs.
